Writing--Takes...

I haven't been blogging on here for a long time. I am too busy doing online surveys for extra money. 
It has been hard to find the time to write!  I'm working on a paranormal/sci-fi romance novel, as well as the surveys. I'll send it to Harlequin for their monthly paranormal romance books. (And pray very hard while they have it!)
I never wrote a whole novel before. I'm better at short things, but would love to get the $1,200 or $2,400 that Harlequin pays for this kind of thing! 
I read some good advice on how to do a whole novel from one of their writers. He said to write a plot, of course; but to gradually lengthen the novel. To not try to write it all at once.
I now am almost finished the first short draft of the book!  Soon, I'll be doing the longer one, and then putting it into my computer, to be able to check word counts. I will need 80,000 words.
