Strange Days

I am having a very odd weekend.  A big "up" to my ego, but with serious worries along with that.  
I don't know how to feel.

On the one hand, a photo for a special Facebook page that I had redone has gone viral.  It felt so amazing, when I began to realize that.  Usually, I get lots of 'likes' on new profile pictures only. I don't change them very often.  Makes people notice it when I do change my profile pics.

Those still only get about 50 or so 'likes'.  

This picture, of a cat named Tiger in the clouds, had gotten over 800 'likes' as of this morning.  And, people are sharing it all over, too!  

Tiger is a well-known cat.  He was shot in the head with a crossbow by a veterinarian in Texas.  She was very proud of herself, and posted the photo onto her fb page.

This was a month ago, and all that happened to her was that she got fired from her job.  No charges against her, and she still has her license.  People are outraged.

That is why my pic was seen by so many, but I didn't expect such an enormous reaction.  It is something to not quite feel good about.  Confusing feelings there, for sure.

The other things, though, are worrying, for certain.

I went out yesterday, and found a note on my door from the OSPCA.  The investigator was from the Newmarket office.  Not the ones close to me at all.  It was from Friday morning.  I hadn't heard anyone knock at all.  Says to contact him immediately.  The office was closed for the weekend, once I found it.

I can't think of any reason for an out of town OSPCA to be checking up on me.  Wouldn't it have been the ones close by?   I am worried, though, about it being Hank's first owner.

Nik had told me that she had moved out to the country.  That, once she moved there, she told Nik that she now had room for Hank again, and would like him back.  Nik refused, and that was the end of that, it seemed.

The super, though told me that the lady had told her that Nik and Linda had "stolen" her cat.  Did she come to Toronto to visit Hank, and found that he had moved?  So, wants to intimidate me?

She never seemed to try very hard to get Hank back; and Nik had told me that she was ignoring Hank, once she got a dog.

Anyway.  I have been cleaning like a fiend today, just in case there is some sort of real problem.  
(I did contact the head office for some contest a long time ago, after all.)

As for my other big worry:  One of my Facebook friends was posting last night about her roommates threatening her life.  

She hasn't posted yet, today.  Not even to respond to comments on her posts.  No 'likes' on people's wishes for her safety, or anything.  

I don't know her well, but it is extremely worrying.  I posted onto her wall, to say that I hoped that she was ok.  

Praying that she has responded as I write this.

Sorry that I have been depressing today.  I will post this, but not share it to Facebook and all of that.  I just had to let it out.

Hopefully, in a day or two, I'll be editing this to be happy news.  That I'd won a contest, and that my friend was fine.
