Meditation Class?

I thought that I would try this free meditation class at the library.  Something called "Sahaja Yoga".

Well, everyone was very nice and polite to the new person.  When I said that I meditate daily at home, and have read The Dalai Lama's books on it, and also Alan Watts' book; I seemed to get a couple of strange looks.
As if they wondered why I was there.

The meditation seemed to be very complicated.  Lots of hand gestures (but you weren't supposed to open your eyes to see how to do them).
Also, the leader talked all through it.  I know that he was teaching, but shouldn't there be some quiet, so that you can actually meditate?

I ended up with a headache.  I was told that it was from my spirit ( or whatever the esoteric term was) needing to be released.

I decided to Google them when I got home.  Lots of articles about it being a cult.  Wikipedia didn't know for sure, but had a warning posted.

Oh well.  I had a nice walk on a cold, clear night.

I'll just meditate at home, as usual. Maybe I'll use some of their techniques.

And watch The Bachelor from the start on Monday nights!
