Editing Videos

I am trying very hard to figure out how to edit a video, by trying to cut off an end part.

Do you think that I could do it???  You thought wrong!!!  I managed to make it look a bit nicer, though!....

Video taping again!

Tonight, I videotaped another of  Nik Beat's "Howl" radio shows. It had Bela of the band Menage, Mary Lou, owner of He and She Boutique, poet Wendy Joseph, and a member of 70's rock group Wishbone Ash!
The video will be up on my YouTube site soon!  As soon as Nik gets the soundtrack to me, so that I can figure out how to sync in the phone interview.

At The Beaches....Selling?

I TRIED to sell at the beach yesterday.
The wind kept on blowing my sign over.  Once I got it up, I either got ignored, or people did "The Polite Canadian" thing...they thought that I must be a Somebody, and they should just look at me in wonder, but not approach at all....thanks to my book sign, saying "Presented to H.H. The Dalai Lama"!!!
A tiny little boy liked Fluffy, though!  He just kept standing there, and waved at Fluffy!  Fluffy liked him a lot!
Someone eventually felt sorry for me, and gave me $2.00.  In loonies!!! Laundry money!  She looked at something that cost $2.00, as I told her!  She refused to take it.  Said someone else might buy it.
I was thinking..."Please, take it!!!  It's a compliment to my art!" but didn't want to guilt trip her into something that she didn't really want.
Sometimes, even getting things stolen is a weird sort of compliment to an artist....

Proof that I need sleep!

I just proved to myself that I did NOT get enough sleep last night!!!
I boiled the water for my tea, poured it into the teapot, vaguely wondering why it was so clear looking...?  Then, I realized that I had forgotten the tea bags!!!!!

Worked on this video all night!!!

I was up until dawn, working on getting this video up, of Nik Beat reading his poetry at The Black Swan tavern in Toronto.
It was all in a good cause....so that I could watch TV tonight!! Maybe popcorn, too?

Anyway, here it is...I need to teach myself how to edit.

Good Weather!

The World Famous Fluffy really enjoyed today's surprise!!!  Good weather!
A nice sit in the shade, and Fluffy didn't want to go home.  I did, though.
Now, it's back to work, trying to get a couple more media places interested in our story.  Book Television...(I keep on forgetting to phone them)...and, a neighbourhood newspaper called the East Yorker.

Finally an article in a newspaper!!

Finally, the media has recognized me!  The article promised to me a few weeks ago has come out in The Beach Riverdale Mirror community newspaper!  Written by Rebecca Field!
The headline of it is a big exaggeration...I got an email from The Dalai Lama's office staff, saying that my book,  Hugo and Fluffy Tales,  was presented to The Dalai Lama.  But, it does catch the eye!!!
Rebecca Field was very sweet, and interviewed very well!  ('Burkes Jewellers' should be spelled "Birks", too.)

Another Video

Last night, I filmed Nik Beat's "Howl" radio show on CIUT fm.

Lots of fun, with lots of guests!  We were in a bigger room, so the sound is a bit echo-ey.  I need a better microphone, maybe?

I just got it into YouTube today.  Took all afternoon, because it's an hour long show.

Poor Fluffy!

Fluffy is all worn out!!!  
She had a hard night, video taping Nik Beat's Howl radio show, and now has to wait for me to upload it into my Google Drive.  And, today she went to the library, too!!  So much for Fluffy to put up with!
Tomorrow, it's an At Home Day.  Rainy day, sitting around waiting for YouTube to get the video.

Getting ready for sales at The Beaches

Lots of work done this weekend!
I am improving my sign to sell my books!  Added "Presented to H.H. The Dalai Lama!" to it.
I hope that it works like crazy!!!  That I run out of ALL of my art the first day!!!  (one can dream....)

Google calendar!!! Fun!!

I decided to check my gmails just now!!!
My computer just said:  Go to bed!!!  It's from the Google calendar reminder!!!  Great thing to have!

Kicked Out!!!!

An odd, but true story...
Fluffy and I were ok'd to go to an art opening at a gallery on Queen St. West Saturday night.
I got as gussied up as I could....My preferred Nice Dress wouldn't dry in the rainy weather.  I looked good, when I left my place!!!  I swear!!
But....45 minutes on a hot streetcar later, carrying Fluffy and my computer, to take cool pics???
I emerged at Bathurst St. with a sigh of relief.  Then, walked and walked.  Only to find that I was STILL too early!!  (those Queen cars are only late when YOU are running a bit late!!!)
I shopped around in a little Tibetan store.
Then, I showed up to The Red Carpet  (kind of a small one).  Had a hassle until the owner finally recognized me.  He said, "I didn't recognize you without your cat!"
I said, "Oh, Fluffy is right here in her bag."
Suddenly, then, Fluffy was Persona non Grata!  The owner suddenly realized that some of those rich people invited specially might be allergic to cats!!
The weirdest thing then happened!  He asked his two Rent-a-cops to escort me away!!  And kind of glared at me for standing in a nearby doorway.  My wrinkled up presence was NOT wanted there!!  I felt that I needed to let my friend in the show know what was up, so I withstood it.  The cops were embarrassed about it all, and apologized.  And.. got all worried about the little cat scratch on my arm.
I told my friend Nik what had happened, and then went and bought a nifty new computer bag at the friendly Tibetan store, got a bottle of water for Fluffy's trip home, and got on the streetcar fast!
Well, if I'd had thoughts of getting into that gallery, by knowing the owner, those hopes are now squashed!  Like Wile E. Coyote!
Maybe I will try the big, fancy gallery at the corner nearby....

Hmmmmm....

Now my computer is working fine.  Go figure.
I guess that I had to threaten it with a visit to The Computer Doctor!!!  to get it to work again!!!

Computer Woes...Again...

My computer keeps on shutting itself off!!!  And...tells me that it needs a repair.
Just when I was ready to have fun, because the media is swarming....away from me!!!  
I could go back to just farting around and making pretty pictures, etc.
Ah, well.   I will have to paint, then!!!  And sew!!! And make jewellery!!!   And write!!!
AND.....Read lots of books!!!  Oh My!!!
